| [In order to continue the tradition set forth by every other BJU xanga-er, I will now pretend like I'm upset or surprised that school is starting again soon.]
Oh my! In exactly 24 hours from this very moment I'll be landing in good ole GSP only to return back behind the bars of bloody BJU (hooray for alliteration). Yes, it's true; another semester commences, bringing more stress, more chaos, more demerits, more ramen, and a whole, whole lot less sleep and relaxation. But life is good. Shortly I'll feel a little more resistence gelling my hair in the morning as it longs for me to comb it over, leaving that dreadful part lurking on the side of my head. Yes, I'll feel myself once again recoil in horror as I hear a singer slide/scoop on a note or a drummer pound out the occasional (but utterly rebellious) 2-(dare I say it?)-4 (wow, I did, and I haven't been struck by lightning yet) beat. I'll feel my hands authomatically move to the rythm/motion of tying a tie in the morning, regardless of whether or not I have one in my hands. I'll sense that righteous indignation whenever I see a couple sitting less than an inch a part. Yes, the time has come for me to leave NJ and with it everything I generally call "normal," which in Greenville is simply a euphemism for "uncheckable."
So, here I bid my fairwell to the "normal" world. God be with you till we meet again. chao.
(PS: Nobody's joined my NOT kjv-only blogring in a while. So.... join!)
| Today just looking at the different blogrings I'm subscribed to I came across this HILARIOUS PROFILE. Dare I say she should join the BJU blogring? Ouch, ok I'll stop. Haha, anyway enjoy...

Congratulations to foreversaved7 for winning the prize.

| Well, it's a little early to be posting on xanga (9:00 AM), but I woke up early and for once couldn't go back to sleep(!?) It must be a good sign--maybe I've actually caught up on my sleep somewhat. I have been thinking lately that I need to start getting up earlier so that my circadian rythm doesn't flip out and start performing grievous vexations on me my first week of getting up again at 6:00. I have a feeling that first week is going to plague me anyway. I'm doing 8:00's again for the first time since my first semester!!? Not cool, but I thought I could handle it since I was up at that time everyday last semester anyway. Plus it was the most convenient time I could get Mr. Arnold--the best Greek teacher by far!!
So today Bobby's coming over. It's the first time he's ever been over, so it should be fun. We'll have to find a movie he hasn't seen yet. I'm thinking The Sixth Sense, which is like one of my top 5 fave movies EVER, and I don't think he's seen it before. Man, I get excited just thinking about watching that again, lol. Anyway, the next 24 hours should be fun. Then tomorrow night I get to see Kristen!! Finally, lol. (Iowa definitely takes up too much of her life.) And then I'll be playing in an alumni bball game at my school. I know I'll be rusty, but I won't be out of shape, since I've been running a lot over the break. So I'm hoping to just outrun everyone with my short, but in-shape legs, heh. Yup, in-shape.
| Happy New Year everyone!! | | |
| Man, there's been nothing for me to post about. To quote a very famous writer, "There's nothing new under the sun." How very true.
Nevertheless there are a few interesting things to note. I went to the most recent Nets vs. Cavaliers game (Nets romped), and a group performed at halftime called "Nuttin but Stringz." They were two black guys in street attire who played violins to hip hop beats and music. I've never exactly seen anything like it, but they were very good at what they did, especially since they were playing frantically while simultaneously rapping and moving in ways that a white boy like me wouldn't even consider. Entertaining to say the least.
Another somewhat interesting thing is that I saw Tony Robbins last night on Larry King--did anyone else watch that? He's a motivational speaker who's also extremely good at what he does. He claims to have gotten a woman over her life-time phobia of snakes in just a 15 minute session--now that's amazing. People like him will never be out of business in a world like ours that's searching for answers to all its problems--serious and ludicrous as they may be. But anyway I have much to do and little time to do it, so lataz to all y'alls.
